Zep Atlanta Supply Chain is now accepting resumes for the following career opportunity: PDM Chemical Specialist located at our Seaboard Campus in Atlanta, GA.Position Summary: The PDM Chemistry Specialist will be responsible for the entry, control and upkeep of all master data in all Zep Enterprise ERP Systems that include SAP 4.0, SAP 4.5, SAP 6.0, TZG and ROI as it pertains to all Bill of Materials. This role will be the main contact for all user requests for changes to or creation of Bill of Material records and to manage the requests through a formal process of validation and approval. This role will maintain control through the validation and request process and will adhere always to the rules and adhere to all SOX rules that apply to the material master. This position will work closely with cross functional departments to obtain complete packets from R&D, Marketing and Quality so that all data back up is gathered, handed off to the Product Chemistry Specialist and documentation is stored and maintained for back up, auditing purposes, etc.
Job Functions and Accountabilities:
• Document the fine tuning of quality data settings to achieve operational improvements, manage documentation and management of implementing new products and components. Research product change impact to ensure that all products affected are identified and that any issues are resolved prior to the documents being finalized. Maintain detailed logs to show status of submitted requests. Actively identify improvements to set up processes, business procedures and tools. Will use Smart Sheet as a work flow tool and communicate to the user community through the Smart Sheet system. All documentation will be maintained, stored, fine tunes and managed for all Zep Enterprise ERP systems-SAP 4.0, SAP 4.5, SAP 6.0, TZG and ROI and will also cover all Zep Enterprise businesses-NASS, Zep Commercial, Zep Canada, Amrep, Amrep Canada.
• Participate in Team Meetings and Kaizens to discuss possible solutions regarding system changes. Analyze change requests from internal and external customers regarding quality data application . Provide centralized product data contact availability for quality data related topics. Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers and other business partners in identifying priorities, deadlines, expectations, completing tasks, communicating progress and information. These meetings will cover all of Zep Enterprise businesses-NASS, Zep Commercial, Amrep, Amrep Canada, and Zep Canada and will include all Zep Enterprise ERP systems-SAP 4.0, SAP 4.5, SAP 6.0, TZG and ROI.
• Participate in cross functional projects as the master data application expert and play an active lead role for activities with other project analysts on the team. Develop and pursue projects related to quality data file integrity as defined by management. Cross train within the Data Management team on any additional functions to ensure adequate coverage of all areas in case of emergency, vacation or absence. Run reports to aid departments in making master data file decisions. Support process optimization with stakeholders. This will include all Zep Enterpise businesses-NASS, Zep Commercial, Zep Canada, Amrep, Amrep Canada and all Zep Enterprise ERP systems-SAP 4.0, SAP 4.5, SAP 6.0, TZG and ROI.

Educational Qualifications and Experience: Level of Formal Education:A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.Area of Study:Science, Engineering, Information TechnologyYears of Experience:Two to three years.Type of Experience:SAP, Chemist, Quality Engineering, Process design, Process control, Data management business process, Special Certifications or Technical Skills:MBA, Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel Project; database management;Other/Preferred:Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall.
