Assistant Category Trade Manager- Spreads & Pasta Sauce

Assisting the Category Trade Manager in developing trade strategies, which include pricing, promotion, distribution, and shelving strategies for Unilever brands & Categories

The candidate will have the opportunity to develop & learn how to effectively build & execute winning business strategies across different customers & Channels. Plus great exposure to different functions & teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Category Trade manager to develop & agree annual / monthly forecasts and plans for the Canadian business; monitoring performance and recommending alternate plans if necessary.

• Develop trade strategies & tactics by channel including co-marketing initiatives.

·         Working with the CTM to develop and communicate a customer investment plans. Initiate opportunities to maximize trade investment efficiencies in the Canadian market.

•Working with marketing & supply chain to determine the optimum approach and timing to successfully launch new products, switch products and implement price increases. Organizing and co-coordinating launch meetings with accounts teams nationally.

•Monitoring and analyzing competitive trade activities. Assessing implications and recommending indicated action.

·         Lead the monthly category meetings & work closely with Key Accounts Managers to support executing trade strategies at top customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree, with excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. Previous experience in sales, including account management experience, is preferred. Strong PC/software skills, including Microsoft Office, are a must.
